Smooth & Silky Green Protein Smoothie with Grapes and Dates

I’m not one to eat grapes very much. However, I received a heaping bagful of Organic Red Grapes from my CSA this week and didn’t want them to go to waste. I decided a blended green smoothie would put them to perfect use. However, since I had no idea how grapes would taste mixed with greens, I was a little skeptical and almost fearful that I would waste a lot of produce.

My fears were put to rest. My first taste, and all I could think was, Whoa!! I didn’t use a lot of ingredients for this particular green smoothie, but boy did they combine well. As always, the avocado provides a super creamy texture, and the grapes and dates added just enough sweetness. In fact, I don’t think it would have tasted as good without the dates!

As of lately, I’ve been using coconut water and SunWarrior Vanilla Rice Protein as the base for all my blended green drinks. I don’t think I’m going to try to reinvent the wheel anytime soon, so if you have not tried this combo yet, get on it! You won’t be disappointed.

This smoothie is super easy to make. No elaborate prep methods, other than slicing avocado and scooping out the flesh. Simply toss in your Vitamix and blend!
